You got a very good deal on those frames. That's probably better than the online sources. In any event, your woodblocks look best in simple frames, so you've done well. I look forward to seeing them once you have them up. The easiest way to find nice botanical prints is go on ebay and just enter "vintage botanical prints" - which will help you to see some of the types of prints that are out there. Framed, they look great. I actually have a number on my wall that are over 100 years old for which I paid less than a dollar.

Ok good, I feel better now! Big Grin

I will share photos when I get them back and up on the wall!

I poked around eBay a bit, wow, there’s so much artwork for sale! Some things are of course pretty expensive but there’s a lot in the <$100 and even <$50 or <$20 range.

My decorating budget is spent for a while, but I will keep that in mind. We don’t have any art on the walls in our bedroom or the guest room. (Actually for having lived here for only 1.5 years, I think we’re doing pretty good decorating-wise...)

I didn’t believe it either. Cool

I use this site too. Lots of choices. I would not go with colored mat for these prints. Soft white would be great.

I ended up getting a very simple mat, cream but close to white, so maybe like soft white.

We went to Michaels, but I might try the online site in future.

Stay tuned, I’ll post photos when they’re finished!!
