Actually, when he said we were gonna go look at the rotary, I thought it was either a service organization or the big turntable thingy on which they turn a train engine end-for-end.

Nope.



Check out the gauge: Three feet. It's cheaper and faster to lay, and can make tighter bends, according to the interpretive signs there.
