https://www.business-standard....-124051000039_1.html You can't just declare a school is an Ivy League school to promote it in Forbes or for any other reason. It's an historical designation. This is just dumb and pisses me off. /rant

It‘s a sports conference, right? Is the sports conference still being organized? A school can join the sports conference and be a member of the League? ![]()

I think the schools made up the sports conference so you'd still have to attend. Then there were/ are the Seven Sisters. There are some of them I'd have chosen over any of the Ivy League for a four year degree, depending on the time/ their policy, my sex, etc., e.g. Vassar. Then there's co educational schools, e.g. Williams, Amherst, Wesleyan University, I'd have chosen over any Ivy League school for a four year degree as well. Women have an advantage of opportunities when it comes 'elite' liberal arts colleges But the American psyche seems preoccupied with-- "Ivy League." I think that's dumb.
