You will like it. Amazing things happen when you retire. Like it takes much longer to do things. You don't require being in the fast lane on the highway anymore. That this jerk didn't signal his turn just doesn't bug you anymore.

No hurry.

Yes. We eat dinner much earlier now - 5:30-6:30 as opposed to 7:30 or 8.

Congratulations on passing another milestone (writing that phrase reminded me of the card game "Mille_Bornes". I seem to be free-associating more and more as I get older).

I think the biggest joy I found in retirement was the ability to do things on my own schedule, not according to someone else's plans or work hours. I hope you're able to spend your days and nights doing what you like to do.

I'm only 58. But I was at the hardware store on Tuesday last week, the woman rang up my stuff, told me the total, then looked at me and said, "wait a sec..." She put in the code for Senior Tuesday and knocked 10% off the total. I didn't argue.

Thank you!

Mik talks about happy hour dinner, etc. But one doesn’t need to be retired to do that; we both work from home, and dinner is usually somewhere between 5 and 6, because we get up early and are ready to quit at 5.

Same here. Every time I slide that little door lock, I think “Ah, PJ.”

I am on SS now but haven’t stopped working (playing music). So, except for the Covid slowdown, life proceeds much as it did before.

It’s not a joke, really. OK, maybe a little bit.

PJ is a well respected authority on the design and application of airplane lavs. On a 6th grade level it’s funny (and I spend more time there than I probably should), but in the real world it’s an important part of airplane design.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to another forum to make fart jokes.
