Interesting. Assume Bernie comes out on top in NH, and Biden in SC. You’d have a nice split decision before Bloomberg enters the fray.

Between the first and second round, Buttigieg had the largest increase in votes, then Bernie, then Warren. Biden actually lost votes in round 2.

Are you referring to the fact that the "Democratic Establishment" had selected Mrs. Clinton as their candidate before the campaign even started and did everything they could to cut every other candidate off at the knees? I agree... some actions in there could probably be considered "rigging". But I think it is quite disingenuous to pounce on what is probably just a glitch of modern technology and brand it as "rigging" with zero evidence to back that up. I expect nothing less from Brad Parscale and I expect a whole heck of a lot more of this carp for the next nine months.

Bernie gave $100K to DNC. Bernie wants to run the DNC his way for free.

If they’ve delayed this long I wish they’d just dribble out results during SOTU so the networks either break for it, split the screen, or put up a special chyron. They could even dribble them out in such a manner that the lead keeps changing, increasing the odds the networks break for it.

So, that was their plan all along! Of course, a lot of people who care about the Democratic primary aren't going to be watching the SOTU. SOTU = STFU

My fervent hope is that he stays presidential, avoiding victory laps, etc. But I doubt it.

That would be super.

I think the senate scheduled the vote for after SOTU to minimize just that.

Interesting observation from Dave Wasserman: “The reason Warren's 3rd place could be even worse than Biden's 4th place: it's easy to point to places Biden still holds advantages over Sanders (SC & the South), but much harder to imagine where Warren beats Sanders.”

Warren is dead woman walking. She just doesn't know it yet. As much as I'm in Buttigieg's corner for oh so many reasons, I don't think he will emerge on top given his many disadvantages (experience, minority support, etc). I'm really interested in the upcoming contest between Biden and Bloomberg to be the centrist candidate. One with all the establishment credential, and one as a complete outsider. | |||

If it really is between those four, it’s weird to think that the next president, if a Dem wins, will either turn 80 or 40 in his first term.
