I love the way he describes what he does. He's an effective communicator.

I'd love to hear more from our CSA about the farm and how it works, what's growing well, what has failed and why. Communicating isn't our farmer's big thing. Sometimes, I have to figure out what some of the veggies are, especially unlabeled bags of greens. Smiler

Nevertheless, I love getting that bag and looking inside. It's like Christmas every Wednesday!

We got pea shoots and mizuna in the last CSA box.

The pea shoots were pretty mature, so I'm having to strip off the leaves and compost the woody stems, which aren't edible.

The mizuna was okay, but neither one of us was terribly excited about it.

MA, there is a documentary that was made about Farmer John. I keep meaning to watch it but haven't gotten around to it yet:
