NSW COVID outbreak, no lockdown (yet?) Apparently the recent outbreak of COVID (delta variation) in Sydney has been traced to an unvaxxed cab driver, who is believed to have become infected after picking up a flight crew from the airport. Cab drivers, by law, are required to be vaccinated. Oopsie. On the plus side, NSW (actually all of Australia) is totally on the contract tracing process, to the point where they feel that they can isolate this lockdown to specific groups and not require a full lockdown. Let's hope they're right. They've barely started their vax campaign, with < 5% fully vaccinated--most of those health care workers and other targeted groups [like cab drivers). Ack. | ||
