wtgStrong women, strong bones
Years ago I read a book by Miriam Nelson, a nutritionist and researcher at Tufts. She developed a program to help women strengthen bones through an exercise program. Turns out weights help build bone in addition to increasing muscle strength. I did some of the exercises for a while but eventually stopped.
Was recently talking to my friend Susan, who has osteopenia and who would prefer to avoid meds. I mentioned Nelson's Strong Women, Strong Bones book.
Susan found this PBS program:

ShiroKuroI should probably look at this too. My mom has osteopenia right now, so it's more on my radar.
