I won't link it as I'm sure you have all read it before, but Dave Barry wrote a pretty hilarious account of his (long delayed) colonoscopy.

Including his preparatory visit to the traveling colonoscopy exhibit intended to inspire other procrastinators (the one where he walked through an enormous mock up of a colon, complete with immense polyps and other intestinal scenery).
