Redactle

Steve MillerRedactle
It's Wordle meets Wiki and it will make you
work. You get a heavily redacted Wiki article and have to fill in the missing words to figure out the title of the article.
I got today's puzzle in 179 guesses but I am sure a lot of you will beat that by a mile.

jodi120. Holy carp, that was fun! I need a bigger screen than my iPad so I can see more of it at once.

I think next time I’ll try to narrow down the subject a little bit first, before putting in general words. There are a couple I put in at the end that would have got me there a lot faster!

Steve MillerI got hung up on months and dates. I’ll work the puzzle differently next time.

AxtremusI misunderstood the objective and thought I’m supposed to fill the entire article rather than just to guest the title of the article. I only realize the game’s objective after my 177th guess when the game shows me the entire article all of a sudden.

Depending on who/what the subject of the Wiki article is, I think my approach could change.
For this one, I put in a few general words at first. Then went back and took a closer look at the text of the redacted article. There were a couple of words that pointed me to possible subjects to focus on. Tried going after a particular subject but had hit a wall. I put in one more general word, and that was the key to unlocking the puzzle, even though there was only one occurrence of that word. I had it solved after just a few more guesses.
Definitely made me think.

dolmansaxlilToday’s was hard.
I solved today's Redactle (#17) in 226 guesses with an accuracy of 24.78%. Played at
https://www.redactle.com/I realized too late that it’s beneficial to also add the plural of a word that appears many times. Had I figured that out earlier I would have taken far fewer guesses today!

I know a reasonable amount about the subject matter.
I cheated once at guess 20 and that led me to the overall topic which was a huge leap forward. Still took me a few guesses to get to the specific Wiki entry.
Got it in 29 (including one fat finger when I misspelled a word), 75.86% accuracy.
(yes, I can prove it....

)
I have a method.....okay, it's only been two days so maybe it's not a trend yet...
