Sharon has been stocking up on this stuff at Big Lots. 50 cents a box. Flavors that never caught on, which doesn’t mean they’re not good. Citrus cilantro Rice-a-Roni is da bomb! Yummy

I’d serve it to guests, Sharon not so much.

Rice-a-Roni. Yea or Nay?

Nay

I make 20 min rice once or twice a week. biscati, brown and white.

Always with chicken broth that I a have frozen, 1 cup with water added. Then herbs from the freezer or dried. Parsley, garlic chives, chives, etc.

Left overs reheated.

Sometimes with veggies added especially when reheating.

I'm with you, Steve. That stuff is good. Not particularly good for you, but right tasty

I like it, except that it's too salty for me.

Same here. Same with those Lipton noodle thingies (if they even make those anymore).

I love chicken rice-a-roni. They also make a low-salt version that's "fine." It's a definite childhood comfort food for me.

But I don't like any other version. Go figure.

I don't think I've ever eaten rice-a-roni. Huh. Confused

Try mixing in some frozen veg. Cool

Yes, that's my favorite Rice-a-Roni flavor so far.

I do that.
If I get the Spanish Fried Rice flavor, I also add shrimp to approximate paella.

I add cooked chicken to some flavors. Helps balance the salt.

Many years ago I had a bike I liked.
The paint got bad.
Got a body shop guy to paint it.
Cut up a Rice-a-roni bag and put the logos on the bike.
Raced it among the fancy Italian $$$$ bikes.
Got more dirty looks than laughs.
