Fender Play, which is a subscription guitar lesson service, is offering an extended free trial during this shutdown. Mr. Lisa subscribed for a while, but ended up not having the time to devote to it. The lessons seemed very good though. Just another option......

Wirecutter recommended a ukelele, but after reading the reviews at Guitar Center for the recommended one, I think maybe this one is a better choice:

Think ukeleles will become the next scarce commodity?

I have three. Maybe I’ll be able to trade one for some toilet paper...

I ordered a uke.

I chatted online with Guitar Center and the guy knocked ten bucks off the price (phone-only discount).

Mr wtg thinks I'm nuts. Well, that was a pre-existing condition....

ThumbsUp

It came!

(I hope I become a better uke player than I am photographer....)

Mr wtg wanted me to reiterate that he thinks I've gone off the deep end.

He did get a good chuckle when I plucked a string and our near-deaf geriatric golden retriever looked up, stood up, and beat a hasty retreat out of the kitchen.

This might not be a good sign.

Now I gotta figure out how this thing works.....may not be able to get to it for a few days...

I already have one. Should be back from the dry cleaner any day now. Big Grin

Actually, many years ago my MIL bought me a muumuu when she and FIL went to Hawaii. It's long gone.

Guess I'll just have to borrow one of Mr wtg's Hawaiian shirts.

WTG, awesome!!!

Do you have a smart phone? You should be able to get a tuning app to help you tune it (if you are not confident in your own abilities that is.)

We need regular progress reports!!!
