I love all those windows.
The house is empty, but all the beverage glasses are still in the cabinet in the rumpus room (with the killer ledge)?
My 1920’s house in Little Neck, NY myst have had a mid-century bathroom remodel. That pink bathroom looks very familiar: sink, tub, pink, pink, pink!

Great photo!
While we're talking trivia, let me say that the car in that shot is a 1965 Olds 88. The father of a friend of mine had one, and to this day I remember it as the quietest car I have ever ridden in. I was probably 11 at the time.
The Jeep Gladiator pickup? There was one like it at the Boy Scout camp where I volunteered in 1968. It was even the same color. I wanted one like it so bad I could taste it, and to this day I still do.

Mary AnnaOur parents were notably frugal, so when my sister and I were old enough to notice such things, we asked them what had prompted the purchase of that Oldsmobile, the house, a La-Z-Boy recliner, and a color TV within a few months' time.
The answer was "Your daddy got a promotion in 1965."
The Jeep was a company truck. I believe he had three of them over the years, buying the last one from the company when he retired and driving it for the rest of his life. He was known for those Jeeps and I can't see one without thinking of him. Decades later, I would run into people who said they remembered where I had lived because of my mother's magnificent azaleas and the Jeep truck that was always parked in that same spot.
I briefly dated a man from back home who introduced himself by saying that he knew my father because he worked had worked in high school for the gas station Daddy frequented and adding, "He let me work on that Jeep once," in a way that let me know that he considered it a distinct privilege.

Mary AnnaHere's a blurry one. It's a picture of a picture. I have the original around here somewhere. Unfortunately, you can't see the dress well, but it had a lot of beautiful detail work.
This was for the county Junior Miss pageant. I'm looking for a photo from the state pageant, because that dress was amazing--white organza over taffeta, beautifully fitted with tons of detail.

Same here, but I made my own prom gown, with Mom's help.
My Dad was amateur singer in local musicals. This is us back stage..My Mom made all the clothes we are wearing, even Dad's costume. (I think this was the first, "H.M.S Pinafore")

Thanks! It was to me...Even better was one that hung in our front hall closet years after he was in "1776" as John Adams..My Mom really went all out on that one! Waistcoat, knickers..the whole 9 yards!
