I was motivated to watch the TED talk that Dr. Kerr gave. Here it is: I see dead people.

I have heard similar stories related by other people such as clergy, nurses, and aides who are present with people who are approaching death often enough to give credence to such end-of-life experiences. Whether or not you subscribe to some belief in an afterlife, just this way of passing out of this mortal sphere has a comforting nature.

That people act strangely when their minds and bodies are so stressed that death is near should not be surprising.

My mother, on her deathbed, spoke of a visit from her own mother, long deceased.
