"For example, a document dated 1/4/20 can easily be changed to 1/4/2021 by adding two numbers at the end." 1/2/20 becomes 1/2/2021

I have already gotten annoyed with abbreviating it to two digits when talking about academic years. People usually say AY 19-20 for the current year, and then that makes the next academic year 20-21' but that sounds like the year 2021... And as if that isn’t bad enough, classes at my university now are all given a 4 digit number instead of 3, so there’s a class with the number 2020 and one that’s 2021... too many opportunities for confusion!

Damn, even Roman numerals cannot save you ... still too easy to to append an “I” after “MMXX.” Or, for that matter, insert an “I” in “MMXX” to party like it was 2019 again!

Just write "Two Thousand Twenty Exactly."

Why not '20 Which does not let numbers to be added at the end

I guess we could have gone backward in time when we abbreviated 2019 as 19. Party like it’s 1999!
