I had a box of miscellaneous audio cassette tapes that I was going to pitch. I thought what the heck, I'll put them out on Craigslist for free and see if anyone bites. Six hours later, someone emailed and said they wanted them. Guy came and picked them up from my front porch last night. I didn't get around to deleting the listing last night and got an email from a second person who wanted them. It's amazing what there's a market for if the price is right.

There is a local group here that works with disabled folks to weave fabrics from old tapes. I have purchase several of their products at our farmers market. I gave one to my daughter in law and it is her favorite bag (the cross body bag). Social Catalyst's Esty Page Recycle, resuse, make do or do without!

That's so cool, BL. I think all my VHS tapes are gone, but I'll keep that in mind if I stumble across any hiding in a box in the basement.

That's made out of cassette tapes (or video tapes)? Wow, looks nice!

I had a lot of scrap and leftover lumber in my garage. Posted a picture on Craigslist and said it was free but no picking and choosing. Got a dozen calls. Jf

Made from VHS tapes, I believe. It's very nice. They come in a lot of different colors, and they do have other styles. Says it's not washable, but for me that's not an issue because I plan to use it to put my current crochet project in it and it should be fine. I'm using up odds and ends of yarn and making beds for critters in animal shelters.
