WTFers:

Since Matt has not been around much for a while, I am volunteering to take on Admin duties.

This being one of the few functioning democracies in the world today, I want to get the voice of the people.

Question:
If I assume admin duties, would it be okay with you for me to remain a moderator?

Choices:
Yes, okay for one person to be both admin and mod.
No, not okay
Other — please elaborate

PJ, can you remind us of what the moderator duties and/or capabilities are?

AFAIK, moderator superpowers are pretty much limited to the ability to edit or delete posts in Off Key.

Is there any concern with COI for having one person who is both a mod and an admin?

And if the answer is yes (it might not be, but if), then could PJ step down as mod, become an admin, and we would have two mods (Quirt and WTG)?

Unless the membership changes substantially, I don't think we need a lot of moderating, do we?

Wonderful!! Thank you to much for stepping up!

And thanks to MattG who had put up with us all these years..He does deserve a break! Yes

It might be worth putting in a time limit/check in...every two years or so to be sure the Admin is ok with it or wants to step down.

I agree, it's fine to be both mod and admin.

I think it would be great if we could have one more admin, for redundancy/safety net.

Ax's name was mentioned as well, so maybe PJ and Ax?

Of course, I don't think Ax knows his name is being thrown in the ring here... suave

We're going to have the anti-trust team look at it. You might have to relinquish control of the pin block.

Just saw this thread.

I think we all known each other pretty well enough and this group is small enough that I’m OK with one person being both “admin” and “moderator.”

Since some folks said my name has been thrown around (message me so I can pay you your bribe Wink ), I’m also happy to volunteer to do pure “admin”, as in I take care of the technical stuff but won’t do content moderation.
