I first discovered Indian masala chai many years ago when a Bangladeshi friend and his wife invited us to join them for an Indian buffet one wintry Sunday afternoon. It was the beginning of decades of our "curry bus" seeking Indian, Pakistani, and Nepalese restaurants to try out the various cuisines.

It's not Sunday, but it's cold outside and I had a hankering for some chai, so I went a huntin' on the interwebz. Found a winner.
