A perennial wheat. I had never heard of it until the folks at Long Table (the whole grain pancake and waffle mix company that was on Shark Tank earlier this year) sent an email announcing a short run of pancake mix made with Kernza.

Very interesting. I wonder how it might do in low tech agriculture areas like some parts of Africa.
