And it was the right thing to do. Really. The # of donor rule made sense in the early days with 25 candidates, most of whom polled less than 1%. How do you differentiate between two candidates polling 1% with a poll that has a margin of error of 3%? Number of donors gives you a hard, cardinal number. This late in the primary what should matter is the number of voters that support a person, not the number of donors. Plus it's wrong to discriminate against self funded candidates. THere's nothing wrong with them per se. The rules should neither privilege them nor discriminate against them. Three cheers for the DNC.

One more point - the # of donors rule really presupposes that 'getting donors' is something that all candidates would be trying to do, therefore seeing who was more successful was an interesting metric. Really, like I said, it provided a hard number to compare when polls were precarious. But it did embed that assumption that all would be fundraising. A reasonable assumption in most years. But it's hard to argue donors are more important than voters as a metric of support.

Bloomberg is the best of the lot and a real contender. My problem is his 'hard hitting' everpresent ads are full of half truths and lies.

More so than with Mr. Trump’s half truths and lies?

How much richer is Bloomberg than Trump in monetary terms? Wondering if Bloomberg can just cover the Internet with banner and 5 second ads that simply say Bloomberg is N times richer than Trump. In every debate, for every question, imagine Bloomberg starting with “let me just say that I am many times richer than Trump” before addressing the question, and close every debate with “... and I am still many times richer than Trump.”

I'm hoping to get a little quiet time with the co-founder of Bloomberg News next Thursday. Maybe I'll learn something that I can pass along.

don’t come to me with your own lies telling me you are somehow better.

You have to be kidding. This is just the party rigging the system against Bernie, just like 2016. You're nothing but a shill for the corrupt system, Jon. You and those like you are the real problem. And this is why I'll probably vote for Trump, or not vote at all, if Bernie isn't the nominee. He is the only one who will really take on this corrupt system. But at least Trump is breaking it down ...

please tell me you're kidding...? There's a reason why Trump is accusing the House of scheduling the Senate impeachment hearings last week to attack Bernie, and Bernie alone. And his (Bernie's) followers are eating it up. Mik, what "lies" are you talking about?

Just an observation that you increasingly acquiesce to Trump's lies. It is rather obvious that Bernie lies less frequently, lies less materially, and lies less blatantly than Trump. Bernis is better than Trump in that regard.

. Maybe Bernie could raise some $$$ for the party he wants to nominate him this time?

Put another way, there are different circles of hell, and acting as if they are all the same plays into Trump's hand.
