wtgShow us your tchotchkes!
Most people have at least one tchotchke in their house.
In ours, our tacky little decorations are gnomes. We had nicknamed our vacation home "Gnome Man's Land" and had gnomes located here and there in the house. They all came back here when that house sold.
Here's our gnome family:
The tiny gnomes who keep us company at meals in the kitchen:
The garden gnome:
The cookbook gnome (he's on a shelf with my cookbooks):
The Head Gnome (he's more than 2 feet tall):

Piano*DadMy tchotchkes aren't "tacky little decorations."

Our house is full of pottery we've accumulated over the years. They're my tchotchkes!

MikhailohWe have this ceramic rooster up on the baker's rack that we put different hats or other things on depending on the season. Always been a family inside joke. We have a Reds helmet, Santa hat, devil horns for Halloween, a colorful mask and beads for Mardi Gras, a pilgrim hat for Thanksgiving, a hat for St. Patrick's Day, a birthday cake hat for birthdays, etc. It's fun.

Steve MillerWhen I built the office I included two open display shelves, one over my desk and one over Sharon's. The idea was to limit the various collectibles (Precious Pimentos!

) to one area so they wouldn't fill up the house. We've rotated things on and off of the shelves through the years and they have mostly functioned as intended. Here are my shelves:
And here are Sharon's:
There are a few other areas in the house where things have crept in:

Yes...My collection that takes up little space..I limit it to good pottery versions and no two the same color though I do have lead and wire versions I got at the dump... I use them for pencil/pen holders.
I could not resist the ball shaped one (the rust colored on the left)..I think I paid $3.

And I forgot one other...On the window sill over my kitchen sink..

Steve MillerIsn’t it cool how much effort people used to put in to utilitarian items like flower frogs?
