Fever, headache, terrible cough, feeling worse than I have in a long long time. Got a rapid covid test today (negative) along with the one that take 48 - 72 hours. Makes me want to never gather in crowded places with other people again. Not sure if it’s flu or what, but yikes. I got away with not getting sick at all last year (after COVID), and I seem to be paying for it now. Frowner

I'm so sorry for you. The only plus to COVID has been avoiding the colds and bronchitis that I usually get.

I keep hearing about people getting the worst flu ever, if that’s what you got, I hope it resolves quickly!

So sorry. Jodi, sounds like you got a nasty flu! At least it’s not Covid.

I got a breakthrough Covid case while attending a big restaurant dinner party my brother in law organized. So glad I had been vaxed.

I am masking up all the time now. Sad to say. So much carp out there.

Sorry to hear that, Jodi, hope you feel better soon.

Like RealPlayer, I continue to wear mask while inside buildings that are not my home.

Whatever this is, it’s bad. Add nausea, vomiting and a world class migraine to the mix. I tried some NyQuil last night, but it just made me feel drugged and awful. This sucks. Somebody here has also said people are getting much worse cases of a flu like illness this year, compared to past years. I’m scheduled to get a flu shot in a couple of weeks, hopefully that along with this will have me covered for the rest of flu season.

And yes to masks, pretty sure I got this when we visited Wyoming a week and a half ago. Though I mask up in stores, I was too lax there, Rode around in a car on a tour with a bunch of folks and did not mask up, and had dinner with a bunch more. Going to start being more careful.

Sorry you're sick Jodi, hope you feel better soon.

And sorry for the haiku. I was writing a standard commiseration post but when my first few words hit the 5 syllable mark my OCD kicked in with the resulting 5-7-5 thingy.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wow. Sorry to hear you're feeling so lousy.

We've been under a mandatory indoor mask mandate since late August. Cases and hospitalizations are down but we're still not at the point where the governor intends to lift the mandate.

Given your experience and RP's, I plan to just keep wearing mine into the foreseeable future, even when the mandate is lifted.
