I just got an email from our local county that they are giving away 15000 tickets to 6 Flags Great America today to people that get vaccinated at any of the county sites. Preferred if folks have an insurance card and ID, but all accepted...

With all these give-aways around the country, I wonder how many people are getting vaccinated more than twice??

Are you referring to people who think that if the pharmacy dosage is 10 mg twice a day then 20 mg four times a day must be better?

I’ve had a third Pfizer. No free beer though.

Like a lot of transplant patients, I didn’t have an antibody response after the first two.

Tomorrow is 20 days post shot three and I’m getting another antibody test. Wish me luck.

Comfort

I was wondering if that might be an issue for you. Hope this works!

The other side is that people who've had COVID are not supposed to get a second shot if they still have a high level of antibodies. I know someone who is tested monthly to see if their antibodies start dropping. They won't be given the second shot until then.

Is the idea that the second shot could be harmful? Or just wasteful?

Good luck, Jon!!

Re the antibodies, I'm just glad the science is understood well enough that these kinds of fine-grained distinctions are being made! Wow, pretty impressive when you stop to think about it!

I received my second Pfizer covid-19 shot about four weeks ago. Everything went well. The person who administered the shot told me that it’s possible that a third booster shot may be recommended this fall for people who received the first two shots. It’s up to the CDC and it hasn’t been decided yet.

Do antibody test results determine infection rates to others?
