I have seen accounts of people dying the second time around. Usually unvaccinated. No one should think that prior infection or vaccination is a 100% guarantee of a COVID-free future.

Fully vaxed and boosted here.

I tested postive for COVID-19 two days ago.

I suspect and hope my immune system is ready for another infection and will keep it mild.

I'll still be first in line for another booster.

And almost 96. At her age, even a minor case of COVID is of concern. There's just not a lot of backup in the immune system of a person that age.
