I enjoy TikTok.

And I think Biden is wrong on all levels.

I don't like to be the bearer of bad news but, if I'm correct, he's already alienated too many constituencies to win.

We haven't. Our malfunctioning forum software just makes it a challenge to do.

The icons for "Reply with Quote", "Edit or Delete Message", and "Report Post" are there but are invisible. Or at least they are on my Windows devices (but not my iOS devices).

However, if you hover the cursor in the general area where they should be, the text associated with the icon will pop up. This screen grab doesn't show the cursor, but you can see the text box that has appeared:

Most of our emojis can't be seen in posts either; they show up as mysterious little boxes.

And just for completeness regarding the list of current software malfunctions... a lot of people no longer get emails to notify them of PMs. And for some folks the flashing PM thingy is on all the time, regardless of whether they have new PMs or not.

No one has been able to figure out how to fix these problems. Sorry for the inconvenience. If things go completely south, we have our backup forum that Ax created for us that uses the same software as the folks next door.

Admittedly, not all 120 million Tik Tok users will vote as a group, but it opens a door. There are some 300,000 people who use Tik Tok for a source of income. They'll likely vote block-like. Biden didn't have to jump in with his "I'll sign it" but since he has, DJT is now playing the "want Tik Tok, I'm your man." In elections where a few thousand votes one way or another can cost an election, I don't quite understand the drive to effort to strengthen his opponent, but Biden seems to have a gift for that - "act decisively, think it through later."

I get that there are a lot of potential voters who use and/or make a living from TikTok. And I understood what you were saying about the narrow path to victory for any candidate; that is a huge consideration in every political race. My question was whether, if Congress and Biden think that it's important to pass this bill, whether you thought Biden should veto it just to get the votes.

All of the members of the House are facing re-election at the same time Biden is, yet the vast majority of them voted for the bill. The committee that sent this bill to the floor was a unanimous 50-0. They all broke from Leader Trump despite his objection to the bill (which is a reversal from his efforts during his presidency to get TikTok divested, but that's another matter).

I find this near-unanimity remarkable, given that we live in a Congressional world of non-cooperation and a GOP that seems to follow Trump no matter what. Why do you think there is such support among both Republicans and Democrats?
