A few ideas for stocking stuffers:

This garage light is amazing, especially for the price. Screws in to a regular light socket. Amazon, HD and others. $15. I see Amazon is out of this one but there are many others like it.

This little knife sharpener now lives in a kitchen drawer so I can touch up knives as I go. Works better than others I’ve used, even ones that cost a lot more. Duluth Trading Company (they have a store here), probably others. $10

Small knife sharpener

Fiskars HD shears beat any I’ve tried. Compact – perfect for opening blister packs. They cut through turkey bones like butter and cut the thick rug pad easily. I got mine at Lowes. $22.

These new LED flashlights are fantastic! This one is 1000 lumens – like a car headlight. Compact. Lots of people make them. Jack and Rory are each getting one for Christmas, even though Sharon thinks they dumb gifts. I guarantee they will like them. This one is $18.

As Alexander the Great conquered the world he issued coins with his likeness on them everywhere he went. They're pretty common, even though they can be 2000 years old. Ebay has them for as little as $2 but they're really rough. I gave them to my nephews a few years back. Cooler than anything plastic. This one looks good for about $30.

AtG coin.

What ideas do you have?

Thanks. Buying one of teh knife sharpeners for my daughter.

I have a garage light like that. It gives out so much more lights than the 400W rough service bulbs I have been using for years.

Great ideas, Steve.

I'll add another flashlight item....a headlamp. Costco had a three pack of these for way less than Amazon, but they're not currently offering them. Great for when you need to be hands-free. We use it when we take the dog out at night. Several light levels, and you can tilt it down to change where the light beam hits:

I don't have a pair of these but am seriously considering them. Falling on ice is much more of a risk as I get older:

For those of you who travel internationally -- check out the RFID passport / vax card holders. There are a jillion of them, from < $20 to $100. They come in groovy colors as well.

I have one and it's great to carry all the various detritus that I now need: passport, nexus card, vax card, work permit, covid test result. Everything in one place, and I no longer live in fear of losing something.

Costco has (had?) a three-panel LED light that screws into a standard socket. Each panel puts out the equivalent of at least a 100W incandescent and they can be pivoted in just about any direction.

I like those Fiskars shears.

I bought someone a couple pair of 8" Fiskars scissors that were half price at the fabric store.

OTOH, I bought a Fiskars pole pruner at Costco that was recalled. I also bought a Fiskars compound-lever lopper (up to 2" branches) and the blade chipped under normal use. So, I think their quality ain't what it used to be.

Like the Fiskars shears. They're only $15 at Lowe's.

I think I'll buy myself a Christmas present...

While you’re at Lowe’s you might pick up one of these knives. Very light, easy to grip, they never need sharpening because they use standard utility knife blades. I’ve opened a whole lot of boxes with mine.

MrsTuner has tried all kinds of bottle stoppers for sparkling wine. The Rabbit brand that screw-tightens has been her favorite:
