I missed mentioning Holocaust Remembrance Day (May 1-2) because I was in transit, but I at least, will rejoice on Israeli Independence Day (May 8-9) which follows soon. Never Forget? Holocaust Remembrance Day However revolting Netanyahu and sequel to this complex history may be, I thank G-d for Israel. Wouldn't you think a people who had been through what the Jews have (assimilation attempts, thwarted by repeated annihilation movements), would be considered idiots not to have finally concluded they need and deserve a protected homeland? And not Uganda (one suggestion) but the developed land on which their history revolves and a continuing population lived the whole time. JFTR I wonder why in refusing this of all revanchiste land claims (the others have been accepted throughout history), NOONE seems to mention that over half the original Israeli population originate from countries that expelled them (~900,000) without any property or nationality? That's more than twice the original number of Palestinian refugees. Most of whom for the record (refer following link) have been acknowledged by the current head of the PLA to his own people, to have left voluntarily at the behest of their leaders. I realize this completely contradicts the entrenched Palestinian narrative. The whole thing is weird and sad. I HATE the development of Israel as a militaristic society, but they really seem trapped. The Gaza missiles are hitting Tel Aviv now!
