Seems like filling the bucket about half full to drown the captured rodents would be a good idea. I don't think you'd want to release them in your neighborhood and hauling live rodents miles away and releasing them might not endear you to those in the release area. Big Al

An old New England version is to fill the bucket half way with water then sprinkle seeds on top. They fall in an drown. This is a local chipmunk trap. There is NO way I am going to be the one to empty the trap. ![]()
