rontunerI carry a little bottle of glass cleaner to cut through the crud. Dampen the rag, wipe across a few, let sit for a couple of seconds, then wipe off...
Finish up with a second pass with a clean(er) rag if needed.

AdagioMLast week's urban hike in Macleay Park, PDX:

(Old 1930's WPA project comfort station, now just the walls)

Can you ID this? Pretty!

pianojugglerIt's a flower.
Salmonberry?
That comfort station is just too cool!
I *love* moss. I know it's not everybody's thing. But I love the stuff (except when it tries to take over my wooly thyme, and then I pluck it out to use elsewhere). Good thing I live in the Northwet.

Steve MillerToday I saw Paella!
Made it on the grill as a dry run for making it in camp when we go to the wine country in June. Much easier than I thought it would be, all in one pan so cleanup was minimal and very, very good!

BeeLadyNo food pic but we did pig out in the North End of Boston today.
My dearest friend and Honduran travel partner is in town for a few days vacationing. We met up with them and toured much of the old part of town on foot.
After our required pasta, we walked up Cobb Hill so see the
"Skinny House" known to be a 'spite house'..built out of spite to block the neighbor's view.
I was trying to get a view of the front door when women entered the alley..perfect timing for scale.

big alHere's Pittsburgh's skinny building.
It presently houses a shop that sell tee shirts and similar merchandise from a counter facing the street. It's slated for renovation now.
When I worked in downtown Pittsburgh years ago, it housed a sandwich shop with the grill in the window on the corner and little one person tables and seats all down along the street side. Each one had it's own door to enter and sit after you'd purchased your sandwich and beverage. Usually I just bought my sandwich and took it to eat outside as long as the weather was nice. In bad weather, I usually bought lunch somewhere else. It was named Raywell's then and I ate a lot of their keilbasi and their hot sausage sandwiches.
Steve, that paella looks fantastic. Do you have a recipe?

Food network recipe. Spanish chorizo not readily available so we used linguica. Wife doesn't do clams and we left them out.
Also liked the
"Spanish Sangria" we had along with.
