Recommendations for an overseas shipper?

I bought a saddle in the UK. Anyone here with experience receiving goods from the UK? The seller says her best quote is from DHL, but I am reading horror stories about them online. Who do you use and recommend?

Hmm, we get stuff from Japan all the time that is transported by DHL... Maybe DHL-UK isn't the same??

I've used DHL a couple of times with no issues.

I'd say that what you are reading online is the venting people do when something goes wrong. Nobody posts on the internet to say "everything went as expected". DHL does a huge volume between Europe and the US, so there is likely to be a large volume of problems, but probably not any more by percentage of items shipped than with UPS, FedEx, or anyone else.
