We don't regularly give each other gifts. Not on birthdays, not on anniversaries. Usually neither of us want anything and besides, neither of us are really qualified to shop for the things the other might like (music for me, clothes for her, say).
So today I gave her a drawer.
We have a large dresser, just one, and the drawers have been split a certain way for the 15+ years we've had it. Recently I realized there's a drawer I basically never use. THere's stuff in it, but it''s like deep storage. So I moved it and gave her the drawer.
She's never been more excited for a gift.

I can just see the verse on the Mother's Day card about getting into your drawers.
