50% sniffs of a decision made with a shrug, which is odd for a decision having to do with billions of dollars. I would be curious to know why 50% is better than 45%, and better than 55%?

Fifty percent is the minimum standard of the ‘Giving Pledge’.

I could imagine committing to 50 while thinking it will likely be higher than that once I’ve worked through a philanthropic plan.

Good for her, indeed, and not just in how she handled the $ but the mistress.

Nothing compares in value to her children's mental health and whatever she can do to safeguard it. That's ESPECIALLY considering the point increasingly made lately, about the importance of recognizing the meaning of "enough" when it comes to wealth.

Remembering as a single example, the "poor" (metaphorically) grandson of Getty who lost his ear and sanity when his megabucks grandfather refused to pay ransom when he was kidnapped.
