Democrats used similar tactic in 2011 in Wisconsin: https://www.npr.org/2011/02/17...flee-to-prevent-vote And again in 2003 in Texas: https://www.texasstandard.org/...m-and-skipping-town/ It's a bipartisan thing. Best one can argue is one party does it for the right reason and the other party does it for the wrong reason.
