Sondland
"We didn't want to work with Rudy, but were directed by the President to do so."

"The White House and State Department refuse to give me access to documents that would allow me to provide specific and accurate details as to who I met with and what I said."

"What Rudy told the Ukranians was a quid pro quo."

"There was no parallel process; everyone at State and at the NSC knew exactly what was going on."

Whoa, boy. This may be the John Dean moment.

edit: He's thrown Pence and Pompeo and Bolton into the lion's den.

And there are no tweets from Sparky or the WH this morning.

I'm waiting for "I had no idea what all these people were doing; they misunderstood what I said. There was no quid pro quo."

We'll know he's having an effect when I-1 starts tweeting barbs at his former pal Sondland.

Sondland grew up a few miles from where I grew up in the Seattle 'burbs. I have stayed at at least one of his hotels.

I wonder what Sondland thinks of Stephen Miller, both being sons of people who fled the Holocaust.

Good article. Interesting that the NYT did not put it behind their paywall.

Rubin contends (accurately, I think) that...

Sondland effectively implicates Pompeo, Pence, and Mulvaney in criminal obstruction.

The Dems will not connect these dots, of course, because their plate is full enough already. But the dots are there.

If the bribery issue is enough to impeach Trump, it's also grounds for impeaching Pompeo, as the NY Times suggests:

Sondland has implicated all the president's men....

So Hunter Biden was on the board of Burisma despite the fact that he seemed to have no particular qualifications for the position.

And Gordon Sondland is ambassador to the EU despite the fact....oh, never mind....
