Apple Maps Complies with Russian Demand

... to show Crimea as part of Russia.

Supposedly, Russia viewers will see Crimea as part of Russia. No border delineation between eastern Crimea and the rest of Russia, and a clear northern border with Ukraine.

I was curious, so I went on to Apple Maps from here in Virginia, and saw Crimea as part of Russia. Hmmmm.

The Russians said that showing Crimea as part of no nation, or worse, as part of Ukraine was a violation of Russian law that would be prosecuted. Apple complied. Google has not, as of yet.
