IANAD, but when I had what was said to be a bad case of pneumonia I was give one pill called FACTIV. Remarkable stuff - I was fit for a marathon in 3 days.

It looks like they still make it but it's not commonly prescribed. I wonder why?

My father got the single pill for pneumonia. That must have been before 2009. Maybe Don got Levaquin because the pneumonia pill is not right for the kidney infection?
