I have know the owner since he opened the place in 1986. Great guy and I have purchased a few guitars from his store, Paradise Guitars.

They are having a retirement sale. The business was doing well but Mike just wants to retire so he sold the land and the building and is doing quite well for himself.

Needless to say my two daughters and I visited the store for what will most likely be the last time.

We brought home a record number of string instruments in one haul.

Left to right, Breedlove 12 string. Breedlove 6 string, Ibanez ES-335, Ibanez Banjo and two sweet looking and sounding Ukuleles.

The Breedlove guitars are USA built and are very well built and ring like bells. Awesome sounding. The ES-335 is something I have always wanted and the price was too good to pass up. My youngest has always wanted me to buy a banjo, today was the day thanks to a killer deal that Mike made me on it.

I now have an Eastman all solid wood 12 string for sale in case anyone is interested. lol

Eeker

That's quite the shopping spree!

Imagine the house, and vehicle, one would need to do something similar with a piano spree... suave

Fun day. Hope you enjoy them all.

You bought your son a banjo? That is like teaching your wife to shoot. Big Grin

Think he'd give me a screamin' deal on a banjo and ship it to the left coast?

SK, I'm going back at noon to get another guitar for my brother in Texas. Wink

Chas, I only have daughters. I should have specified. A son that was like me would probably have driven me to an early grave. lol

PJ, Send me your cell phone # in a PM and I will text you when I get there shortly after 12:00 Central time.

Mark and pj, you really cleaned up! Enjoy all those instruments!

We had a store like that locally, Mandolin Bros. Musicians came from all over. Sadly, it closed when the owner died about 10 years ago.

The fancy pants banjo. I love the inlay work.

This photo does not show the wood grain or the inlays very well. It is tricky getting a good photo. I will try to get a better one. The inlays are mother of pearl or abalone. I will have to inspect them closer.
