Six month-long Summers by Century's End?
And the other seasons would shrink to make room.
(Northern Hemisphere)

Not just like six Julys, either, but laalapaloozas of heat.
And what about the growing season?

Kind of one more scare article about global warming, with this concrete example. Apart from its being a journalistic gimmick to attract readers, I think concrete examples can serve a useful purpose in stimulating action.

There's something about imagining three truncated seasons surrounding that monster summer, that certainly makes me orient.

(Awaiting a sci-fi movie about it next.)

I'll be dead. I'm having trouble caring about the end of the century.

YMMV.
