Brother has Covid

My brother,79 and obese, is in a hospital in Memphis on oxygen.
He was having a hard time breathing and was coughing a lot so his wife drove him to the hospital.
He was calling people and texting them. His daughter dropped off his phone charger earlier to be taken up to him today.
He is in the Covid ward.
My sister's son in Anchorage texted me asking whether it was true that he was in the hospital. That was the first I heard of this.
I got confirmation of all this from his daughter.

Last month he went to the funeral of a cousin. He sounded very proud that only three people came into the packed church wearing masks and those people took them off.
He is a wingnut and anti-mask.
He is a dentist.

He takes his right wing politics very seriously. He spouts nutty Qanon like carp at times.
Years ago I was with our parents. I said he is nuts. My father agreed and said I would have to take care of him someday. One of my father's sisters spent her adult life in care facilities. I believe he expected my brother to need the same.

From the tone of voice his daughter used I don't know if they believe it or not. She said he did test positive.
