Chicago public schools have decided to have remote learning only through the 1st quarter in early November. I wonder if other local districts will follow?

My mother lives in central IL, near my brother's family, and she helps out with my 10 y/o niece a lot. She has my niece at her house when my brother and sister--in-law's work schedules collide, during the school year she does a lot of ride-giving, to and from school or to and from activities.

I am hoping their county will move online, at least temporarily, not just to protect my niece (which is no small concern the more we learn) but also to protect my mother!
