Foregoing Practicing to Post Minor Deity |
I'll relate a story about my daughter. She was in her car in lower Manhattan, decided to stop quickly at a store, and parked blocking a driveway to the local post office. Probably because of the cold, she got back to the car and discovered it wouldn't start! And here she was blocking the postal trucks. Postal worker came out and said "Don't worry, there's this guy down the block who jumps our trucks' batteries when they don't start. I'll call him over." Service guy comes over and easily starts my daughter's car. Hangs around for a little...gratuity. My daughter awkwardly realizes this and sheepishly admits, "I don't carry cash." She is the new generation, after all -- pays for everything via all the new fancy methods. So she has the postal worker LOAN her a twenty dollar bill to give to the guy who started her car, and she will walk back and return the $20 later.
