What were the death tolls from pandemics in history?
Pandemics have killed millions of people throughout history. How many deaths were caused by different pandemics, and how have researchers estimated their death tolls?

NinaThis would be improved with an estimate of the % of global population who died as a result of the pandemic.
The only one I saw was the Black Death, at 50-60% of the European population.
That's a LOT of deaths. But without an apples-to-apples comparison, like % of potentially affected population who died or something, then it's hard to make a comparison.
It's like folks who say that the # of registered voters who didn't vote in 2020 is the same as the number of all voters in 1948. WEll, duh. The population has increased dramatically over that same period.

DanielWow.
I'll keep wearing masks even if I'm the last person in Florida to wear them.
People here (all over the US?) seem to be taking few or no precautions.
It seems they have decided COVID is a cold by a different name.
I find the lack of social responsibility rather astounding.
