Lee Jussim’s diversity and inclusion statement.

(He’s the co-author of Jonathan Haidt’s latest book, The Coddling of the American Mind )

I’m out of the loop here, but I have to know.

Does anyone really pay attention to this stuff?

How do you mean the question?

You mean do some universities use these as a political litmus test for hiring like the loyalty oaths from the 50s?

Or do you mean does anyone outside of academia pay attention to the goings on within?

The latter.

No one talks like this on construction sites and they’re about as diverse as any place you’ll find.
