What is going on in TX? Why are you horrified?

(With the front pages dominated by news regarding the Russia/Ukraine conflict, I am not seeing any TX news that’s obviously horrific.)

I was offered some freelance work in Dallas. So far it hasn't panned out. Which is good. I don't think I want to ever set foot in the state again.

My brother lives in texas and both of his kids are gay. He said "thank god they are gay and not trans! We'd be called child abusers!"

He says that Texas' Repub majority is only challenged in the primaries. And the primaries are coming up, and they know only 10%R of people vote in the primaries, so they throw out the red meat for the single-issue voters and polls say they are most terrified of legions of boys in girls clothes stealing all the athletic attainment from the girls -- when they are not lining up to use the women's bathrooms at Target.

So sad and so pathetic. Such a far cry from when I lived there and Ann Richards was on her way to being elected (Dem) governor. just a bunch of woman-hating sexually wacko control freaks at the top now.
