DanielThe Diana, Princess of Wales Statue
Prince William and Prince Harry commissioned a statue of their mother for Kensington Palace.
It was supposed to be unveiled twenty years after her death in 2017. Well, this deadline was skipped for whatever reason.
I don't remember the name of the sculptor but I remember looking at his work, and he seemed perfect for this commission.
There's only one monument to Diana, an oval water pool in a park that has never been popular.
So, now it's supposed to happen on July 1.
This would have been her 60th birthday.
The press is talking about whether Harry will attend the unveiling. I hope so.
Diana has long deserved a legitimate statue. Here's hoping this is it.
(So and I will have been living together twenty-six years on July 1 but who's counting.)
