I'm seething just from reading this and remembering how it went down. F**k the Democrats who did this to Franken. At least one of them is getting her comeuppance: No oval office for you Gillibrand. And screw #MeToo, they really hurt themselves with this barbarism and showed they have no concern for justice, it's puts them several rungs lower than they think they're at.

The Case of Al Franken

False accusations are real. They happen. I empathize with Franken. He was blindsided.

I can relate to his shock and horror. I myself was falsely accused of striking a dental hygienist and the practice wrote me a letter banning me from their office. I was able to persuade them that no such thing happened, and that their hygienist was either delusional or suffering from some sort of flashback that had nothing to do with me. I was welcomed back as a patient after having an in depth converasation with the dentist about this utterly bizarre claim.

In Franken's case this was clearly politically motivated. Gillebrand and Schumer should be shunned for joining in on the public stoning.

I always thought he got a raw deal. It all just happened so fast, no procedure. He was such a smart guy to have on our side in the Senate. Seems to me Gellibrand was grandstanding, making this the hill where she wanted to plant her flag.
