Serial origamist Has Achieved Nirvana |
https://www.bbc.com/news/in-pictures-65265873 When I was in college a bunch of us used to play Trivial Pursuit on a regular basis. One tidbit I learned was "who pioneered 'The Chelsea Look'?" I had no idea what The Chelsea Look was. One of the women in the group said "the miniskirt". I still had no idea. I learned the name Mary Quant. A couple years ago, I was in London for a week taking some time adjacent to my last ever business trip for the NFFMCo. I went to the V&A. They were running the exhibit of Mary Quant artifacts. I didn't pay to go in, but I did buy a few trinkets for Mrs pj and her daughter. Farewell to a woman who shaped the look of a generation.

Barnaby Street was where the styles were sold and shown. Recall seeing the name Mary Quant, but did not know from what or where.
