My father was a mathematician. Instead of nursery rhymes, my brothers and I learned such useful tidbits as:

Tangent!

I understand that over the years several states have tried to pass laws declaring that pi is 3 because 2 Chronicles 4:2 says "And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about."

'Cuz if it's in the Bible, it must be correct.
