I heard Barr referred to as “the master of the clean getaway”. I wonder if he might not want to get his hands any dirtier in these last few weeks of Trump’s term. Dodgy pardons and more election nonsense.
He certainly did lay on the schmoozy charm in that letter. The boss likes that.
