Steve MillerCongressional Earmarks
It looks like Congressional earmarks are back on the table.  I always thought the system worked pretty well.  Even if it depended on honest Congresscritters, things got done.
Your thoughts?

NinaI'm very torn on this, to be honest.  McCain was avidly against earmarks, and as a result Arizona "lost out."  It seems like a system designed to reward cronyism.  On the other hand, it is also a much more efficient way of getting things done than the current process.
The system works well if your state benefits.  It doesn't work so well if it doesn't.
